Amarjit Singh honoured with global award in India

Amarjit Singh was presented with a special award by the Global Punjabi Society at the prestigious GPS Achievers Awards 2014 held in New Delhi on the 9 January 2015.  Amarjit was praised as an "ace legal practitioner" and recognised for his significant contribution in strengthening bilateral trade, investment and cultural relations between the UK and India. He received the global award from Dr Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, in the presence of over 250 guests including a host of elite international dignitaries, public figures and celebrities.  The awards recognised individuals from around the world who have made outstanding achievements in their respective fields. 

Whilst in India, Amarjit participated in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors' Summit between 11 - 13 January 2015.  He was part of the UK trade delegation led by Lord Livingston (Minister for Trade and Investment) and had the opportunity to engage with international delegates and officials from over 100 countries.  

The unrivalled platform brought together a high level, multi-stakeholder gathering to discuss emerging business opportunities in India and countries beyond.  As part of his role as a member of the UKTI Catalyst Network, Amarjit promoted UK excellence at the Summit. 

To round off an intensive week long trip, Amarjit continued his commitment to educating young entrepreneurs with a lecture to PGP Students at the world class India Institute of Management in Ahmedabad (ranked as India's top business school) on UK / India business relations. 

He followed the lecture with a lively Q & A session about market entry strategies and offered his tips on how to succeed in cross border business development.   The session was moderated by Professor Dheeraj Sharma, Chairperson of Marketing Area.
